An update on Ulimatum

Ultimatum is a series of short stories that revolve around the conflicts of the world as I see them in 50 years. Anyways, Ultimatum is finally open, so you can view it if you want. Here's the overall back story:

The year is 2052, and human civilization is on the brink of total collapse. With the world population at 11 billion, a world food shortage combined with the rapid disappearance of natural oil reserves has severed trading connections between the U.S and China, effectively plunging both into a great depression. Russia is in the midst of civil war as the western half succeeds from the communist eastern side, which has joined China to form the Red Star Alliance, to join the European Union. Canada effectively closes its borders as its natural oil supplies make it a vulnerable target from both he E.U and the Red Star Alliance, and a new terrorist organization, the United Liberation Front, wreaks havoc upon the world. It’s a new kind of war now, a war where the conflict's as much between rich vs. poor as as nation vs. nation. These are the accounts of those soldiers who fought in the last days of human civilization, the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect what little they have left in a war that overshadows anything the world has encountered yet.

Welcome to circa 2052, welcome to war.

Good Day!

Excuse the cheesy title, but I got some good news...for me anyways XD Basically, the school has put out a 'student of the month"- one girl, one guy, and they get to go to some fancy resort place for rich people and eat dinner there..along with the other student of month guys.

The Good: fancy resort, good food (compared to cafeteria junk..ugh), and one of my best friends (FRIEND, not GF, before you get any ideas) got picked as the girl

The Bad: the other people there are probably going to be straight-A geeks/nerds, and since my parents work to much, my principle has to drive me there...awkward :x

The Unknown; How the heck did i get this?! I'm far from a straight A student. more of a C-B, and the same goes for that other girl. Yeah, I'm friendly with almost the entire class and yeah, I do pretty good when the LA teacher wants us to stand up in front of the class and present something (wax museums coming up, that's going to be fun. I'll tell you guys more about it later, but I'm surprised it wasn't the smart kid(s) that got it...not that I'm complaining of course...

Notification: new blog in the works

First off, Dos Fuegos is still going to serve as a journal for writing and personal thoughts (as its undoubtedly become now), but I got an alternate blog in the makings going by the name of Project: Ultimatum. Now, I would be seriously surprised if you guys took the slightest interest in it, and by all means you probably would want to stick with Fuegos.
As far as The Origami Killer, I'm still in the rough patches of writing it, and because of the tons of homework I got (along with sports), progress is a bit slow. I'll post what I can once a got a fair bit polished up.

The Origami Killer

Okay, I got this idea that's been rolling in my head for the past few days, and I want to ask you guys what you think of it. Best part is, it may have enough action in it and good enough characters that I may actually keep it.

Its called How to Save a Life, and it revolves around a series of homicidal murders that have taken place throughout Chicago. The killer leaves no evidence of the murder, no finger prints, no stray hairs, no traces of DNA, except the simple origami piece left at the scene of the crime. Known as The Origami Killer, he's on the FBI's most wanted list, but for the past year he's evaded every investigation that the FBI, CIA, Police Force, and Federal Government have put through...often resulting in the death of the investigators, a single origami piece the only evidence turned up on the sense of murder.

Mars Alexander was a former FBI agent living a successful and happy life on the edges of the Chicago suburbs with his wife, Miranda, and two Twin boys, Mathew and Joshua. However, when a gang hit-and-run attack results in the death of his 8-year old son, Joshua, Mars' life is turned upside down. Now divorced and having left the FBI, he lives with his other son, Matt, who he had become increasingly distant to. However, when Matt is captured by the Origami Killer, Mars pushes everything he has aside and re-joins the FBI in the hopes of saving the only thing left in his life to love.
Throughout the story, he meets up with two companions: Chloe, a private investigator who is constantly fearful of when the Origami Killer with ultimately kill her, and Logan, a 19-year-old gang member hunting down the Killer after a deal gone sour ends with the death of most of his crew, yet he also *spoilers* happens to be one of those who killed Mars' first son, Joshua.

So, what do you think? suggestions (what withe the origami ect) would be much appreciated
